Artist Statement
Ian MacLean Davis wasraised in Lisbon Falls, ME.
Through abstract drawings, paintings and installations he investigates how pop culturemanifests in nostalgia, memory and image recognition. As pop culture is a media (nee' technological) construct, the works alsoserve as experiments in analog-to-digital aesthetics. Davis holdshis Master of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has exhibited in New Jersey , Los Angeles & Washington, DC. He lives and works in Baltimore.
